QCA SHirt
The Queensland College of Art (QCA) asked me to create a design that represents QCA and could be screen printed onto a T-Shirt. They wanted a creative and easily identifiable t-shirt design to differentiate QCA from the Griffith Film School and the Queensland Conservatorium.
This concept speaks to the playful side of design. Round, bubbly shapes and bright colours were chosen to evoke a sense of fun.
The final design was inspired by artworks created by v? and Liz M Clarke Art.
Their abstract use of intersecting shapes and lines pushed me to approach this project from an artistic perspective rather than as a designer.
Alternative Design
This is the second design that I created for this project.
This design references the use of hands in the physical act of making designs through its inclusion of fingerprint patterns. These patterns flow throughout the design to create the three letters of ‘QCA’.
Blue, pink, and red were chosen to represent Griffith (red), QCA (pink), and the individuals who make up both of these organisations (blue).
